Bosch,Unimech to train auto mechanics

Multinational engineering company Bosch has partnered local auto firm Unimech in an initiative that will provide training and employment for mechanics in the informal sector. 

The initiative is expected to increase the capacity of road-side mechanics with little or no access to modern skills and technologies by providing them with training and employment. 

The Managing Director of Unimech Auto, Ms Bernice Bakura, made this known at the opening of the Unimech Auto/Bosch Car Service Centre at Mantey Farms near Frafraha in Accra.

She said the initiative had become necessary following the partnership between the two companies to provide world class services for car owners in the country. 

Given that the partnership will require more experts to provide specialised services for clients, Ms Bakura said the initiative would ensure that mechanics employed were trained and equipped with adequate skills.
