FOUR business and financial journalists with the Graphic Business have been shortlisted by the Institute of Financial and Economic Journalists (IFEJ) for various awards.
The four - Ama Amankwah Baafi, Suleman Mustapha, Maxwell Akalaare Adombilla and Emmanuel Bruce are among 11 financial journalists from both private and public media houses shortlisted for various awards at this year’s Business and Financial Journalism Awards, which is organised by IFEJ in Accra.
Other nominees are Masahudu Ankiilu Kunateh, the African Eye Report, Kofi Ahovi, freelance journalist, Francis Kobena Tandoh, Xinhua News Agency, Edward Frimpong, B&FT,Kwabena Adu Koranteng, New Crusading Guide, Richard Annerquaye Abbey, B&FT, and Isaac Aidoo of the Business Finder.
A statement issued by IFEJ said the seven-member jury under the chairmanship of Professor John Gatsi settled on the following as potential award winners across the various business categories.
The 2018 Awards is partnered by the World Bank Group, GNPC, the Chamber of Mines, the Ghana Stock Exchange, the Central Securities Depository, MTN, Voltic Ghana, Accra Brewery Limited and Melcom Group. Others are GCB Bank, Stanbic Bank, Vivo Ghana, Bank of Ghana and Inkit.
This year’s event, slated for Friday, December 14, on the World Bank premises in Accra is on the theme: “Towards Better Management of Natural Resources for Inclusive and Development” and has the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Chamber of Mines, Mr Sulemanu Koney, as the guest speaker.
